For anyone out there that appreciates the feel and look of real glass, but has had the experience of losing them to the forces of nature, then this may be something you are looking for. These glasses are thick and sturdy (look at the shipping...a box of 12 comes in weighing 20 pounds), and easily handle the normal daily abuses that life hands out. Will they break?...I'm sure they will if dropped far enough or they hit something with enough force. Luckily, you can buy single replacements at Bed Bath and Beyond for around $3.00, so keeping a set around is less of a challenge. I looked and didn't find anyone beating Amazon's price (most other vendors sell them as commercial glasses with 2 dozen in a case). In short, if you are looking for quality, thick sturdy glasses, these are as good as you can hope to find without going plastic

I hate plastic and so many glasses are really thin and/or fragile. These are sturdy, heavy and my favorite glasses. I was purchasing them at Bed, Bath and Beyond but they no longer carry them at my store. I'm still shopping around because I'm not sure I want to purchase this many at once but it's a good option. I'll definitely be checking my local dollar stores.

Bought these because of the positive reviews and brand name. Unfortunately, more than half of these have come out of the dishwasher with broken rims/lips. These are the only glasses to do this in our dishwasher. Don't know whether we got a faulty batch with some form of impurity in the glass. Nice heavy glasses, but unusable after the lip breaks and turns into a sharp edge. Wouldn't buy again.
